Coronavirus: Five cases in Borders following day of ‘zero’

FIVE new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders, according to Scottish Government data.

The latest daily release of health board figures, issued at 2pm on September 23, shows the Borders has registered 478 cases since March.

However, yesterday (Tuesday, September 22) NHS Borders reported zero new cases for the first time in five weeks.

Last month, between August 13 and 21, NHS Borders reported 350 total cases, but on August 21 that figure rose to 352.

New positive cases of the virus have been reported every day since then, excluding September 22.
