Strong winds set to batter county as yellow weather warning issued

STRONG winds are set to blow into East Lothian tomorrow with gales and heavy showers predicted, just weeks after Storm Arwen battered the county.

A yellow weather warning is in force for the majority of Scotland and England from 9am tomorrow (December 7), with the possibility of gusts reaching 65mph in some parts.

The warning is in place until 11.59pm the same day.

Delays on roads, rail and other transport services is likely due to the weather.

There may also be some delays on public transport services and journeys may take longer.

High-sided vehicles may also see some delays on exposed routes and bridges.

Coastal communities, sea fronts and coastal routes are likely to be affected by spray and large waves.

There may also be a short term loss of power and other services for some.
