Witness appeal after damage caused to two cars in Borders town

POLICE in the Scottish Borders are appealing for information after two cars was set on fire in Hawick.

The first incident took place around 2.30am on Thursday July 7 2022 in Myreslaw Green.

Following that incident officers were made aware that another vehicle had been targeted on Noble Place also during the early hours of Thursday morning.

That vehicle was damaged and there was a pile of ash near where it was parked.

Inspector Lynsey Thomson said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area and who may have witnessed the incidents to get in touch with us.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 0312 of 7 July.”
